Cam Ballantyne is a screen composer who takes a modern approach to scoring for film, television, and digital projects. He blends electronic elements, hybrid instrumentation, and detailed sound design to create music that supports story and tone in contemporary ways. Comfortable writing for full orchestra, small ensembles, or anything in between.

He has composed music for feature films including Nude Tuesday (2022), starring Jemaine Clement, We Were Dangerous (2024), winner of the Jury Prize at SXSW, and Big Girls Don’t Cry (2026), in competition at Sundance. He has also scored several documentaries, including co-composing The Witness from the Balcony of Room 306 (2009), which was Oscar-nominated for Best Short Documentary. Cam has contributed to high-end international TVCs, winning Cannes Lions and Cleos.
